Chelsie surf asked:

I’m trying to figure out how to get from O’Hare airport to the South Shore train station so I can take the train to Indiana. I’m looking at the maps for METRA and the L, and they don’t make any sense. Can anyone help? The L has a stop at O’Hare, so I’m guessing I start there, but then what? Do the 2 systems connect?

Take the BLUE line from Ohare to downtown
then you i cant remember exatly where it stops in downtown Chicago. but i am sure it close to Randolph st. where then you can catch the South Shore to Indiana where the last stop is South Bend

O’Hare’s blue line stop is the final stop, so every train leaving O’Hare is going the same place, towards downtown. You’re going to be on the blue line for about 45 minutes, you’ll know you’re getting close to your stop when the blue line goes underground and begins runnung below Dearborn.
You want to exit at Washington and walk upstairs towards Randolph which would be the Daley Center’s exit. Once you’re upstairs, look north on Dearborn and you’ll see McDonalds…that’s Randolph Street, you want to walk towards Randolph and hang a right, you’re heading east (passing McDonalds, Wicked, Borders, State St, Wabash). Just follow Randolph to just before Michigan Ave where you’ll see the Millennium Park station in front of the Cultural Station.
