Tarin asked:

Approximately how long would it take to travel from Bridgeport, in the Chicago South Side, to the North Shore neighborhood of Glencoe, if you were traveling via public transportation?

Bridgeport to downtown - 20 mins
walk west to Ogilvie station - 10 mins
Metra to Glencoe - 45 mins

I would say about 2 hours. It would save time if you took a cab to the Metra station.
