The only prestigious colleges in TN are Vanderbilt and (to a lesser extent) Sewanee–University of the South
In Virginia, the really great ones are UVA, College of William & Mary, and Washington & Lee. U Richmond is also relatively good.

Hannah D, The best method to find out info is to contact a student. You can find some contact information for Virginia colleges here. Students always seem to know what’s going on since they get to experience the classes and the lifestyle.
