Where is there currently snow on the ground on the east coast?

I wanted to take my kids to play in the snow over winter break. I live in Virginia. I am looking for the closest place to my home to let them play in the snow…. any idea’s? I have only come up with taking them to wintergreen ski resort so far…….. its about 3 hrs away.
